About The Role:

The Capacity Accelerator Program (CAP) aims to transform care practices in Child Care Institutions (CCIs), by addressing the severe limitations in funding, access to expertise and contextualized support that they face.

The Technology Lead role involves building, testing and rolling out technology solutions to support the implementation of Guardians programmes. The Lead is responsible for ensuring that applications or technology solutions are developed and launched within the required timelines by working with the program head, technology partners and vendors as well as CCI leaders. The role also involves working with all three stakeholders to align on goals, create wireframes and solutions, ensure timely deliverables, test and collate feedback, incorporate improvements, establish quality control and data security practices and maintain & troubleshoot rolled-out tech platforms. The lead will also implement continuous improvements to the existing platforms once they are rolled out.

Through the role, Leads develop a working knowledge of the impact and usage of technology towards social change and capacity building. They also develop expertise in operational planning and stakeholder management. There are opportunities to design systems and processes as part of this.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the selection, development, field testing and deployment of core technology solutions for Guardians programmes.
  • Build, maintain and manage relationships with technology partners, vendors and developers.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverable quality with technology partners and vendors.
  • Spend significant on-ground time to develop context, document user stores, and feedback and implement improvements to the technology platform.
  • Provide strategic advice and technical support to embedded managers and the Guardians team in the usage and implementation of technology to aid their work.
  • Maintain existing technology platforms and troubleshoot issues affecting usage of existing technology platforms. Generate reports and analysis of usage trends.
  • Create and establish data security practices to protect sensitive information. Validate, migrate and update data when needed. Perform periodic security audits.

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in building mobile applications and/or ERP solutions.
  • Proficiency with UX/UI design tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in a wide array of software applications, operating systems, database systems and web-based systems.
  • Experience or strong interest in childcare or organizational development & transformation
  • Partnership management experience
  • Experience having led or played a critical role in an end to end project
  • Documentation and report writing experience.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment.
